Michael Crespo, a salesman, waits for customers as he enjoys an electronic cigarette at the Vapor Shark store on April 24, 2014 in Miami, Florida. Brandon Leidel, CEO, Director of Operations Vapor Shark, said he welcomes the annoucement by the Food and Drug Administration that they are proposing the first federal regulations on electronic cigarettes.

The Australian government and health experts of the New South Wales Health explained that they are concerned about the negative effects of vapes on the lungs of young individuals.

Right now, e-cigarettes are considered less harmful substitutes for traditional cigarettes. However, the NSW Health agency seems to disagree with this as it launches a new anti-vaping campaign.

However, a new study conducted by the Therapeutic Goods Administration revealed that vapes or e-cigarettes have chemical concentrations that are more than the amount required by legal limitations imposed by the Australian government.

According to The Daily Mail UK, TGA discovered that around 31% of the e-cigarettes they analyzed exceeded legal chemical concentration limitations.

Aside from this, involved researchers in the new study also confirmed that all of the 190 nicotine vaping brands they studied have incorrect ingredient labels and don't have enough warnings to show the potential dangers of products.

NSW Health Launches Anti-Vaping Campaign

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the New South Wales partnered with the Department of Education to launch a new anti-vaping campaign, which costs $300,000.

"The goal is to engage young people in a conversation about e-cigarettes and make them aware of the health harm," said the Acting NSW Chief Health Officer Marianne Gale.

If you visit the official website of NSW Health, you will see that the campaign provides some alarming facts about vaping. The government agency claims that vapes are comparable to harmful cleaning products, such as bug spray, weed killer, and polish remover.

Eight teenagers in Wisconsin were recently hospitalized because of vaping in other news. Meanwhile, China previously asked online e-cigarette stores to stop their operations.
