Among other things, President Barack Obama will discuss national cybersecurity during his State of the Union address on Jan. 20.

The news follows 12 months of cybercrime incidents, particularly against U.S. companies, retailers such as Sony Pictures Entertainment and mega-retailers including Target and financial firms.

Microsoft won't be just talking Windows 10 this week. The software leader is also likely to give up new details about its impending new web browser, reportedly codenamed "Spartan."

There has been much speculation on the browser, with rumors first suggesting it would replace Internet Explorer, then suggesting it would be a more stripped down version of the browser.

Most of the rumors appear to agree the browser will make use of Microsoft's digital assistant Cortana, and will include a "reading mode," which will remove any ads and distractions around an article.
