Elon Musk shared his human Mars landing year prediction on his Twitter account, pushing it back to a much later date than his previous pronouncements.

Elon Musk's Human Mars Landing Year Prediction
Humans have yet to step foot on the rocky red surface of Mars, but billionaire CEO and founder of SpaceX and Tesla, Musk, already has his estimates when the monumental event is happening.
As per a news story by CNET, the SpaceX exec previously predicted way back in 2016 that the first crewed mission to the Red Planet is transpiring sometime in 2024.
In the same year, the billionaire also shared his plans to build a city on the Martian planet, wherein humankind could reside other than Earth.
However, CNET noted in the same report that the progress towards the plan to land the first-ever human on Mars is going slower than expected.
But, to be fair, there have been significant advancements in the development of the Starship mega-rocket of SpaceX, which is also used for various missions in the International Space Station, and later on, the crewed Moon mission.
But still, the latest Mars landing estimates of Musk say that the first Mars landing would be pushed back for a few more years from his earlier predictions.
It is worth noting that Musk previously delayed his predictions of Mars landing way back in Dec. 2020, saying that the goal to land humans on the neighboring planet of Earth has been moved to 2026.

Elon Musk Delays Mars Landing Estimates
However, this time around, Musk is further delaying his target for the Mars landing mission yet again.

He hinted on his Twitter post that the crewed mission to the Red Planet could take place sometime in 2029 before this decade comes to its final curtain call.
According to a recent story by NPR, Musk made his latest Mars landing estimates as a response to another tweet.
The tweet that Musk replied to posted a photo, which collaged an image of the moon landing way back in 1969 and a render of a supposed Mars landing.
The photo collage comes with a caption that reads: "What's your guess," asking the estimated year for the first-ever human landing on Mars.
The SpaceX exec went on to tweet his response, merely saying "2029."
