Samsung's Galaxy S22 is the top-of-the-line flagship smartphone of the South Korean tech manufacturer, and it focuses on the many features, and one of them includes an S-Pen. However, many compare it to the Galaxy Note series, which is discontinuing this year, with its last release being in 2020 with the Galaxy Note 20.

Reports now review the Galaxy S22 as a note device, and it is essentially the discontinued smartphone series that the company announced last February.

According to Android Central, the S22 features massive Note aspects in its design and make, more than it is a Galaxy S device from the previous lineup.

The device moves away from the S series branding and more into the Note, particularly with its camera layout that resembles that of the Note 20 release. Moreover, the device's body leans more into the Note's design despite being called the S22 for this year's release, making the smartphone more of what it focuses on its offers.

Moreover, it brings the S-Pen into the mix, and it is the first for any S-series smartphone's lineup in the combination.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Brings Note Features

Dalian's report about the Note series' end of production this 2022 is a massive bummer for the company. It focuses on the many opportunities it will let go of for the lineup. However, it gets to live on with the S22, and its spirit remains as the new device features many of the Note's qualities for the smartphone, something that Samsung may have intended for its release.

Samsung's Galaxy Note and S series

The South Korean tech giant is famous for releasing the Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Note series side by side, focusing on bringing its technology to the smart device. The Galaxy S focused on the handset device that concentrates on a person's everyday needs with sufficient display and features, but it does not steer far from the Note device.

Before the S22 release, there was no stylus on its functions and accessories, unlike the Galaxy Note series.

However, earlier this year, at the Mobile World Congress 2022, Samsung had to make the difficult decision of announcing that the Galaxy Note was stopping its production. It may be revamped one day as a new smartphone, but there are no guarantees that Samsung will bring the Note series to the lineup again, focusing on the "businessman's device" that brings a more complex gadget.

Some argue that the Samsung Galaxy S22 is essentially a Note smartphone combined into one with the Galaxy S series. However, it does not necessarily focus on the Note aspects of the device, something Samsung truly discontinued for the smartphone lineup and its releases.

Nevertheless, this is the closest that Note fans will get, especially with a Samsung OneUI, Android, and the S-Pen stylus of the new S22.
