Owners of older Samsung Galaxy models can now enjoy the features that were once exclusive to Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.

The One UI 4.1 rolled out together with the Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra with some new features but with no updates to Samsung's software on top of Android as a whole.

The Google Duo features, the editing features, and the new camera features will be included in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip phones, as they will get the One UI 4.1 update.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Features

Samsung posted the official announcement on Newsroom on Mar. 15. The tech giant confirmed that One UI 4.1 is rolling out to both of its 2021 foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3.

The update is not available in the United States yet, but it is expected to arrive in the country in the next couple of weeks.

Samsung will also bring One UI 4.1 to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Tab S7 FE, and the Galaxy A lineup. The update will expand to the Galaxy S20, Z Fold 2, Note 20, Z Flip, Galaxy S10, and other A series and Tab S series, according to 9to5Google.

So what are the new features added in One UI 4.1? Samsung S22 has five new features, with most of them focused on their camera. One UI 4.1 includes the Expert RAW feature for high-end devices, which is a special camera mode with consoles similar to DSLR cameras.

The feature only supports the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S22 series at present, but it will be available for Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the future.

Once the picture is taken, Samsung expanded the Object Eraser tool in One UI 4.1 as well as automatic photo edits when sharing pictures.

By optimizing your pictures, whether cropping out some screenshots sections or adjusting the tilt, you can ensure that whatever you send is what you intended.

Just select an image to share, and an icon will alert you if your smartphone detects improvements. Click on the icon and watch as the picture is adjusted, rotated, or cropped before it is shared.

Google Duo Live Sharing also expands with the One UI 4.1 update. The feature, which was first introduced together with the Galaxy S22 and Tab S8, allows Duo calls to share content on your screen while you are in a call but still able to see the participants in the call easily.

Finally, Samsung upgraded the keyboard with One UI 4.1 with Grammarly already integrated into the keyboard.

One UI 4.1 Design

The One UI 4.1 design is similar to the One UI 4.0, which Samsung has developed to provide users with a comfortable experience. The iteration of the custom Android skin sticks to the ethos, according to Sam Mobile.

Minor improvements have been made with the guiding principles of One UI 4.0 in mind. They can help make system-wide navigation more intuitive and seamless. The overall look of the One UI .41 is modern and sleek.
