"Baldur's Gate III" will not be coming this year, as Larian Studios said that the full release date for this upcoming role-playing video game will be staged in 2023.
'Baldur's Gate 3' Set to Launch Next Year
"Baldur's Gate 3" is going online in 2023, Larian Studios confirmed.
Initially released in October 2020 as an early access game, "Baldur's Gate 3" has become a fan favorite among "Dungeons and Dragons" players. The soft release has been impressive so far with over 100 hours of special play-throughs.
The hype for the revived classic party-based RPG shows no sign of stopping following the fans' request to unveil its final version to the public. It seems Larian is listening to the people since it recently announced that "Baldur's Gate 3" will be available next year.
The anticipated 2022 release did not happen as planned yet, the developers are still implementing several changes to the game based on the current feedback from fans.
"By the nine hells we've added a lot of great stuff already, and there's more where that came from. So join us in early access on our journey to Baldur's Gate 3, or come along in 2023 when the game releases," Larian told the audience during a presentation, per Tweaktown's report on Thursday, Apr. 21.
The game maker added that the mechanics of the upcoming game will get better as it heads to its official date of release next year.
Sometime in 2023, it seems that Blizzard will roll out "Overwatch 2" or "Diablo 4" to rival "Baldur's Gate 3." Following this possibility, next year might be an explosive era of RPGs for PC gamers.
Aside from its excellent visuals and mechanics, Larian has transformed the upcoming RPG into a very rich and interactive title that borrows dialog style similar to "Witcher."
The game studio has also laid out several adjustments when it comes to characters and skills to achieve the best immersive experience for the fans.

'Baldur's Gate 3' Gameplay and Story
In another story from Laptopmag, the gameplay for "Baldur's Gate 3" is rather comparable with "Divinity: Original Sin 2" if we speak about the in-game dialogues and combat system.
The turn-based element is still preserved and you can use four heroes in a party. You can also make your own character and join up to three players in the game.

Your goal is to eliminate the mind flayers and fight with other races infected by these parasitic tadpoles. Since the danger lies in their mind-controlling abilities, you need to exterminate each of them as soon as possible.
For this part, you will unravel across the Forgotten Realms and use the available characters including Gale (human wizard), Shadowheart (half-elf cleric), Wyll (human warlock), Astarion (elf/vampire rouge), and Lae'zel (Githyanki warrior).
