Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4 ad teased that the long-awaited Google Assistant support is coming to one of the most sought-after smart wearables out there.

The tech giants, Google and Samsung, have previously announced their massive collaboration on wearable tech, which birthed the merger of the latter's Tizen and Android Wear.

That said, it is somewhat surprising or, should we say--odd that the Wear OS of the Galaxy Watch 4, which the two tech giants worked on together, lacks Google Assistant.

Instead, users of the Galaxy Watch 4 only get their hands on Samsung's virtual assistant, nicknamed Bixby.

As per a news story by Phone Arena, the absence of Google Assistant is one of the most notable cons of the Galaxy Watch 4, at least according to numerous users.

Despite that, Samsung is no stranger to the highly requested feature on its Galaxy Watch 4.

In fact, Google has previously confirmed that Assistant is actually rolling out to the smartwatch of the South Korean tech giant.

According to the latest report by Android Central, Google announced that its Assistant app will be available straight from the Play Store of the Watch 4 "in the coming months."

As of writing, three months have already passed since Google revealed the new virtual assistant coming to Samsung's smart wearable.

Samsung's New Galaxy Watch 4 Ad

It appears that the long-awaited arrival of Google Assistant to the Galaxy Watch 4 is inching closer.

According to a recent report by 9to5Google, a Reddit user that goes by the username "herykmathews" was one of the first observers to notice a surprising revelation on the latest Samsung ad in Spain.

The newest Spanish Samsung ad showed a Galaxy Watch 4 user who surprisingly spitted out the words "Hey Google" - instead of Samsung's Bixby - to summon the smart wearable to play a song on YouTube Music.

NEW YORK, NY - AUGUST 7: The new Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is displayed during a launch event at Barclays Center on August 7, 2019 in the Brooklyn borough of New York City.

The 15-second ad that the South Korean tech firm posted on its Spanish YouTube channel only spans for 15-seconds. It supposedly focused on Google Pay, but the unexpected Google Assistant cameo was also attention-grabbing.

The Samsung ad did not formally announce that Hey Google support is coming to its smartwatch in the specific ad in question. But it does hint that its arrival could likely be close approaching.

Google Assistant Arriving?

It is interesting to point out that it is not the first hint that Google Assistant's arrival at Samsung is already near.

A recent Verizon update showed that Google Assistant would be released on Galaxy Watch 4 in its next software update. But the search engine tech giant outright denied its arrival, saying that "we don't have an update on timing."
