Summer Game Fest announced the dates for when it will showcase its events, and it moved up the calendar earlier this year, bringing the showcase available for the public soon. It will be the same time as the supposed dates as the now-canceled E3 2022 showcase that brings much news and information in the gaming industry that will skip for this year.

Geoff Keighley announced that its team is having new dates for the Summer Game Fest 2022, and it will be on Thursday, June 9 this year, and it will be a significant time for the gaming community. It would be available to live stream globally via media partners including Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter for everyone to watch.

The live stream would occur at 11 AM Pacific Time (2 PMP Eastern Time and 6 PM GMT).

Keighley would host the event, and the day of June 9 will be intended for the Summer Game Fest, but its next days will bring other industry partners to showcase their works and efforts in the gaming world.

According to Summer Game Fest's website, Microsoft's Xbox and Bethesda game showcase will take place here, and other unnamed guests to arrive from June 9 to 11.

Summer Game Fest Takes E3 2022 Dates

The Summer Game Fest 2022 will take place during E3 2022's dates, and while it is not precisely taking its preferred schedule, it will debut its showcase simultaneously as the famed event. E3 2022 was canceled for good, and the company already decided on this early in the year.

Gamers are left with a void from E3's decision, but there are many game showcases for this year that would try and fill in what the event left, especially for fans and enthusiasts.

E3 2022 and Other Showcase for Games

E3 usually takes place in June, and it has been a tradition by the company to bring its festivities to the public by holding a convention, and it invites gamers and fans to join it. Before the pandemic, the E3 is a yearly tradition for some in joining, and it features an on-site experience like no other.

However, COVID-19's virus and its progression stopped the event from manifesting live, with gamers left to watch at home via live streams.

Many gaming companies take the opportunity to showcase their new titles and offers for the coming releases or tease titles that will soon start their development with the company. Companies like Ubisoft and Nintendo were the top contenders in last year's E3 2021, and they brought some of the anticipated titles into the lineup.

Other game showcases are also massive, like Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation yearly showcases, but not many come close to what the E3 offers the public.

Now, gamers thought that the pandemic was ending and that the events would resume their on-site festivities for everyone, but they were sorely mistaken due to E3 canceling its 2022 offers. Now, other organizations are taking its place, and literally during the famed timeframe that launches every June of the year, with Summer Game Fest pushing for it next month.
