Zachary Patrone, aka "Zekken," is now one of the youngest professional "Valorant" player in the league. For aspiring eSports players out there, this is actually a dream-come-true.

When he entered the eSports industry, Zekken was still in his final years in high school. Although this was the case, he was able to play with various gaming agencies, such as XSET, an American eSports organization.

But how did he actually achieve this?

Zachary 'Zekken' Patrone as Younges 'Valo' Player

According to Upcomer's latest article, Zekken first played for a semi-professional gaming organization called Noble.

During his time in Noble, he was assigned to the oldest and most experienced member of the roster. With his skills, he was able to get an average combat score of 250 for "Valorant" agents, Raze and Sova.

Because of this, XSET noticed his potential. In 2021, the American eSports agency decided to offer him a contract.

"I was trialing with a bunch of different teams. I chose XSET mainly because I believe it's the roster that has the most potential to do something really big and most potential for me to grow individually," said Zachary.

He added that XSET made him feel that he can still grow, develop, and continue honing his skills in "Valorant" professional league.

Other Young Bloods in 'Valorant'

Zekken is not the only young blood in the professional "Valorant" league. Aside from him, there are also other youngsters who have been able to enhance their skills to compete against other pro gamers.

Dot Esports provided some of them:

Peter Mazuryk

  • Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk is an 18-year-old professional "Valo" gamer playing for 100 Thieves. During the VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) 2021 event, he was able to have an average ACS rating of 1.21.

Sean Bezerra

  • Sean Bezerra, aka "Bang," is one of the professional players on the TSM roster. This 17-year-old kid was able to join TSM's lineup back in June 2021. After that, he had a breakout performance at the final Challengers main event.

Bang, Asuna, and Zekken clearly showed that with effort, young kids can also achieve their dreams of becoming professional eSports players.
