COPENHAGEN, DENMARK - NOVEMBER 28: Team Astralis fans cheer on their team during the BLAST Premier Fall Final at Royal Arena on November 28, 2021 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to the official website of the esports organization, it's one of the leading names in the field of gaming. It operates under various games, including "League of Legends" (LoL) and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).

Back in 2016, Jakob Lund Kristensen and Nikolah Nyholm initially founded the first two teams in Astralis. RFRSH Entertainment initially owned both "CS:GO" and "LoL" teams.

The management team and other key persons re-established the Astralis branding three years later. When it parted ways with RFRSH, it sought an opportunity to form a team for another sports game, "FIFA."

In late 2019, this esports team achieved a milestone in the business after it entered the Nasdaq listing, making it the "first publicly" listed esports team owner to do so.

The business has never been easy for the organization throughout the years, yet it continued to impress the crowd. It relies on the strategic performance approach while deploying non-stop development for each team.

Most notably, Astralis notched another record in its book in 2020 when it expanded its "CS:GO" roster to five players. This is in line with its tactic to give the players a rest time while formulating their strategies during the game.

Last September 2021, Astralis made a huge move by acquiring the assets and facilities owned by Disrupt Gaming. This action was to form a "Rainbow Six" team that will compete in North America.

After a month, Astralis decided to take its talent to "Fortnite." It succeeded in signing "Th0masHD," one of the most promising players for the battle-royale game. He joined the Astralis Fortnite squad later.

Aside from its open venture to esports, Astralis came up with the idea of publicly opening its shares. From there, its investments continue to bloom as it maintains healthy competition with other esports organizations around the world.

The Astralis Teams

In a similar article, it was mentioned that Astralis is currently handling five (5) teams within various big titles in esports. The organization established a strong branding and recognition among the most decorated groups in the field of gaming.

Here are the original names of the teams under the Astralis name. According to the information, they all share a similar logo and flag under the organization.

  • Origen (LoL)
  • Future FC (FIFA)
  • Disrupt Gaming (Rainbow Six)
  • Astralis (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive)

Among the four teams, the winningest crew in the history of Astralis is the "CS:GO" team, which has won several awards and titles over the past years. It has three back-to-back major titles, not to mention the other trophies that it collected.

The "Counter-Strike" team was reportedly the team with the most hours watched all over the globe. It also has a million followers across social media platforms, prompting that its international presence is heard all over the place.

On the other hand, the Astralis "LoL" team is a powerhouse in the European scene. Meanwhile, its FIFA squad has been far-reaching so far since it is slowly gaining attention in Brazil and Denmark.
