How many majors have OG won?

From a report in Dote Sports, OG battled past virtually every elite team to win the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Stockholm Major with a 3-1 victory over TSM today, bringing their total Major titles to five.

OG's new squad consisted of three new bloods Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev, Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov, and Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf. The new trio has maintained the splendor oozed by team OG in their first-ever Dota 2 Major appearance. Meanwhile, living legends Sébastien "Ceb" Debs and Tommy "Taiga" Le acted as senior players.

But it's worth noting that OG ran into a major inconvenience during the playoffs. When it became apparent that their existing captain Misha and coach Evgenii "Chuvash" Makarov could not be present due to travel concerns, OG had to bring Ceb out of retirement to play an active role on the squad as a stand-in. N0tail joined him in, coaching the younger lineup, since the bulk of them were making their LAN debut.

OG was anticipated to do well in this Major after a strong performance in Tour 2 of the Western Europe (WEU) league, but it managed to outperform forecasts and win the event. Their ultimate win was accomplished through a brilliant run through the lower bracket.

After losing 2-0 to TSM in the upper bracket, it had to battle through BOOM Esports, Fnatic, Thunder Awaken, Gaimin Gladiators, Tundra Esports, and eventually TSM in the grand final to redeem the setback.

According to AFK Gaming, TSM had a strong start in the grand final, winning the first game decisively. But OG took over and won with a three-game masterclass that showcased precise drafting and execution despite playing with a stand-in and a sudden change of coach.

By hoisting their fifth Dota 2 Major title, OG now ties up with Team Secret and Virtus.pro for the most all-time. Ceb's first Major triumph came after competing across regions since 2011, and he was the first to achieve it as a replacement.
