YouTube Music is now adding a feature that will supposedly give users more control over their radio mixes. What this basically means is that users can now mix and match the tone of their selections in order for them to give off the right vibe.

YouTube Music Acts as an Alternative to Spotify

According to the story by Android Police, for those who are not using YouTube Music for their music picks, the most likely alternative to listen to tunes would be Spotify. The publication adds that usually, if Spotify is "not your speed," users would most likely end up using YouTube Music.

YouTube Music is Google's latest streaming service ever since it decided to let go of its previous Play Music. Now, the company is consistently pumping out new features and experimenting with other potential additions to the streaming service.

New Features Allow Users to 'Nail the Right Vibe'

The publication says that one thing Google is testing out is the addition of filters. Filters will supposedly make it easier for users to "nail the right vibe" when using the music/video streaming service.

9to5Google initially spotted a Reddit post that shared the first glimpse of Google's changes for YouTube Music. The glimpse showed changes made to the Up Next queue for users playing a radio-generated song list.

Users Can Now Mix and Match Radio Mixes to Make Sure They are In Sync

The new filters reportedly allow the user to make better tone mixes and matches to make sure all of the songs share the same vibe. This feature comes as an automatic default to all songs on the playlist.

The update reportedly changes the options based on the users' current radio mix making them more in sync with one another. Android Police notes that the feature would become very useful for users especially since it would "fit into your daily listening habits."

Feature Not Yet Available for All YouTube Music Users

There would also be an option for users to limit their collection to just instrumentals in order for them to stay focused. To do this, users will just have to click a particular pill in order to queue the music without needing to switch later on.

The feature, however, might still be in its testing phase which means that not a lot of people will have access to it yet. There were certain reports on Reddit saying some users haven't gotten this feature yet despite trying YouTube Music out on different devices.

Google Might Roll Out the Feature With Its Server-Side Updates

Android Police notes that usually, Google uses its server-side updates in order to roll out new YouTube Music features. Due to this, it might take a little more time before the feature rolls out to other users in the future.

This, however, is not a guarantee that all users will be getting this feature since it is still in testing and Google might even decide to scrap the feature altogether.
