The latest installment in the critically renowned survival horror series, Resident Evil Village, was released in 2021 and has so far sold over 6 million copies worldwide.

Resident Evil fans and newbies alike continue to love the blend of a broad array of distinctive characters, such as Lady Dimitrescu, an action-packed gaming system, and the story of Ethan Winters, who starts on a mission to find his kidnapped daughter.

But with the new expansion, things will be even more exciting and thrilling!

New Modes, New Story

Third-Person Mode

According to Capcom's Producer Tsuyoshi Kanda, one of the new features of the game will be the Third-Person Mode, which will allow users to play in a third-person point of view for the main story mode.

Players will also be able to observe Ethan fighting his enemies from a fresh angle and newcomers to the game will be able to appreciate the story from a different perspective.

Mercenaries Mode: Playable Lady Dimitrescu

The arcade-style action shooting game returns with new courses and playable characters, including Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, who carries a massive hammer and can manipulate magnetic forces, and Alcina Dimitrescu, who stands over nine feet tall.

New Story: Shadows of Rose

And of course, a new expansion would never be complete without an all-new story. Rose was seen as a newborn in the main plot of Resident Evil Village. But The Shadows of Rose will detail her survival story 16 years after the previous campaign.

Shadows of Rose

The narrative takes place 16 years after Resident Evil Village. Ethan's daughter, Rosemary Winters, has grown up and is now dealing with frightening abilities. Rose penetrates the Megamycete's awareness in search of a method to break away from her curse.

Rose's adventure leads her to a mysterious realm wherein memories from the past resurface, creating a contorted world of nightmares.
