Google Pixel 6a Best Buy listing appears surprisingly ahead of the release date and opening of pre-orders of the new Android smartphone in July.
The advance listing on the online retailer Best Buy hints that Google is making the all-new budget Pixel mobile device more accessible. It is in stark contrast to its predecessor, the Pixel 5a, which oddly skips third-party retailers.

Google Pixel 6a Best Buy Listing
As per a news story by Android Central, the giant retailer, Best Buy, has already posted a listing for the upcoming affordable Pixel phone.
The appearance of the new Pixel 6a comes a month ahead of its formal release and debut.
Is listing on Best Buy merely says that it is coming soon, along with a few price details and color options.
Android Central notes that the Best Buy page also revealed that the new Pixel device is available for trade-in.
However, it failed to provide explicit details regarding the program. Thus, it is uncertain which phones are eligible, and the offer remains to be seen.

On top of these, the early listing of the budget Android device also includes buying options via giant carriers, such as Verizon and T-Mobile. But customers could also opt to buy it unlocked.
The page already highlights that going the Verizon route requires an additional $50 fee as it brings mmWave 5G.
Pixel 6a vs. Pixel 5a
The Pixel 6a is the predecessor of the Pixel 5a, which was released a couple of months ago.
The newest budget offering of Google, the 6a, comes nearly a year after the tech giant debuted the Pixel 5a.
However, according to a recent report by Digital Trends, the renowned search engine and the firm behind Android sold the Pixel 5a exclusively on the official Google Store.

That said, the move of Google left behind other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
Not to mention that the 2021 budget Pixel only made it to limited territories, including Japan and the United States.
Now, Google appears to be working to sell its new budget Pixel more expansively than its older sibling, the early listing of the 6a highly suggests.
Google Pixel 6a Release Date
The Best Buy listing says that the release date of the new Pixel 6a is on July 28.
Digital Trends notes that this echoes the previous announcement of the phonemaker during its packed Google I/O 2022 event.
Meanwhile, the pre-order for the new Pixel opens on July 21.

Google Pixel 6a Price
The upcoming Pixel 6a, which comes in 128GB and colors like Chalk, Sage, and Charcoal, sells for $499.
