Kanye West could be moving into the automobile industry by designing the first-ever "Donda Foam Vehicle." Although it's hard to imagine this car actualizing, a report notes that it "isn't outside the realm of possibility" since West is close friends with Elon Musk.

Aside from fashion, Kanye West has attempted to run for president and now, it seems like he wants to try out something else, designing a car. The card will be created under his company Donda.

Complex reports that the "strange vehicle" was revealed alongside the announcement of the new Head of Industrial Design of Donda, Steven Smith. Officially, not much is known regarding the Donda Foam Vehicle aside from what was shown in a teaser image.

Concept Looks Like a Mix of a Lunar Rover and a Sneaker

According to the story by Gizmodo, the image "makes the concept look like the unexpected love child between a lunar rover and sneaker." The image, however, isn't clear as all people can see is the silhouette of what looks like a car but still hard to tell.

The article notes that it is presumed that Steven Smith will be the one heading the project as part of his brand new role. Smith has been working in the footwear industry for a long time since he started back in the 1980s.

Since Kanye West wants to make his own automobile, some people might assume that Steven Smith, the new Head of Industrial Design at Donda, at least has some experience in the industry. The truth is, as noted by Gizmodo, he also has zero experience in the industry.

Steven Smith has worked, however, with the likes of Nike, New Balance, Reebok, and FILA. He was also the "executive director of Adidas' Yeezy line in collaboration with West." The relationship between Kanye West and Adidas, however, has been rocky ever since the artist accused them of "copying his shoe design" according to an article by GQ.

Why the Vehicle Being Built by Tesla is Not Outside the Realm of Possibilities

Aside from sneakers, the Donda Foam Vehicle's teaser suggests that it will be partnering with an automaker in the United States. The article by Gizmodo notes that the Donda Foam Concept Vehicle being built by Tesla is not outside the realm of possibilities.

Both Kanye West and Elon Musk have been close friends for a long time now with the two visiting each other during events. As per Gizmodo, they think that "we're going to be seeing spy shots of the Donda Foam Vehicle around the same time as the first Cybertruck delivers."

As of press time, it still remains a rumor as to whether the vehicle will really be produced by Tesla. Fans of either companies will have to wait to see whether the Donda Foam Vehicle concept will come to life in the future.
