SpaceX Booster 7 Explosion: Testing Gone Wrong?

A video taken from the live stream of NASA Spaceflight shows how the Booster 7 rocket testing resulted in an explosion where the spacecraft demonstrated firing its Raptor engines. The rocket tests took place in Starbase, Boca Chica, which is the current headquarters of SpaceX in Texas, and also the center of its operations for the Starship.

The Super Heavy Booster focuses on the first stage launch of the Starship missions, and it would help propel the spacecraft to orbit before detaching and returning to the planet. However, it seems that this explosion would bring back SpaceX to its laboratories and further testing before it gets operational.

It is one of the first testings for SpaceX after it received its provision to proceed with the next stages for the spacecraft and its mission, after a rigorous environmental review by the FAA.

Elon Musk Confirms Booster Engine Test

A Twitter user asked the tech CEO if his event was planned, to which the top billionaire, Elon Musk, answered that the Booster engine testing is its venture towards the Starship mission.

Starship and its Future Missions

SpaceX is a company that focuses on bringing missions to the public and giving everyone a chance to have stakes in space, as it is as much for the public, says the company. For that, Musk and SpaceX want to make more than a thousand Starships in the future, and it would give the people an opportunity to transform their lives into a multi-planetary lifestyle.

Musk envisions a future where humans get to live on Mars or visit it for vacation, as well as to have different destinations in space, and SpaceX will be the center of its innovation. The Polaris Program is something that Musk and SpaceX are working on for the future of human flights in the upcoming years that would take place.

The Starship is the only piece of the puzzle left to move forward for its testing and eventual missions for the spacecraft.

However, its explosion rocked the public, which also feared for the rocket and its future as a missions provider and the future vessel of astronauts. SpaceX has not yet released a statement regarding the Starship's Booster 7 Raptor engine explosion, but these are all part of the testing that the company is demonstrating for the world.
