Konami Celebrates the MG 35th Anniversary

The world is celebrating with Konami and Solid Snake on the release of "Metal Gear Solid" 35 years ago on this date, and the public is using the hashtag #MG35th to share different clips and images of the games. Through the years, "Metal Gear Solid" is one significant franchise that gave the world a different view of stealth-action video games which it is one of the pioneers.

'Metal Gear' and its Significance

"Metal Gear," more commonly known as "Metal Gear Solid," is a famous game that came from Konami and under the guidance of famous games director, Hideo Kojima. It focuses on a character called "Solid Snake," with no other known names apart from "David" and the other iterations of his name as "Snake" in different versions of the game.

Konami pulled the plug on the last game of the series, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," last year, and the company effectively removed it from all consoles and platforms for the world. It ceased to exist on the Xbox, PlayStation, and the PC platform, including its online features and DLCs. The game vanished from the platforms and it had a massive effect on the industry.

There would be no other stealth-action games available in the world if it were not for the "Metal Gear" franchise from Kojima and Konami. However, the world will not celebrate its 35th anniversary without anything to play, as the game would have a return to the mainstream media and for the public to re-download or purchase again for the consoles.
