A woman walks past an advertisement for the Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphone at the company's showroom in Seoul on April 7, 2021.

The latest Samsung flagship, the S22, already flaunts top-of-the-line specs, especially for its cameras, which would be a bit hard to conquer with new upgrades.

So some folks assumed that it leaves very little room for its successor, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23, to serve a couple of impressive upgrades.

But the latest leak, revealing the camera specs of the Galaxy S23, says otherwise.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Camera Leaks

As per the latest news update of the Notebook Check, the cameras and other specs of the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra have leaked.

The prominent leaker, who goes by the name Ice Universe, discloses that the all-new Galaxy S23 Ultra is going to feature an impressive 200-megapixel primary camera.

It is worth noting that earlier rumors have already hinted that the next Samsung flagship is slated to boast a 200-megapixel snapper.

However, this time, the latest leak is confirming that the successor of the Galaxy S22 is indeed featuring a 200 MP camera. But it highlights that the sensor for the upcoming flagship has yet to see the light of day.

Notebook Check says in its report that there are only currently two 200 MP smartphone sensors as of writing. It includes the ISOCELL HP1 and HP3 camera sensors from the South Korean tech giant.

The HP3, despite flaunting up to 200 megapixels, is only a mid-range smartphone camera sensor.

While on the other hand, the HP3 is set to debut on the upcoming smartphones of Motorola, either the Edge 30 Ultra or the X30 Pro.

However, the 200 MP sensor of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is likely still in the works.

Notebook Check further notes in its report that the next-generation 200 MP sensor of Samsung is likely to outperform what the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra could offer its users.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Snapdragon

On top of that, the reliable analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, recently revealed that the upcoming Galaxy S23 series of the South Korean phone maker exclusively features Snapdragon chipsets.

It means that Samsung is finally ditching its in-house system on chip (SoC), known as the Exynos, for its next flagship device, as per a news story by GSM Arena.

Kuo claims that the renowned phone maker is not that much confident about the performance of its upcoming chip, the Exynos 2300 SoC. And as such, Samsung plans to exclusively power its S23 series with the next flagship chipset of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Gen 2.
