August saw the start of the testing phase for the Rolls-Royce Spectre, the first electric vehicle from the company that aims to bring an alternative source that will run on batteries. According to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' Twitter page, it first ran at the bespoke training facility in Arjeplog, Sweden, where it received training on "how to behave and react like a Rolls-Royce."

However, further training brings the "Riviera Testing Programme" that takes it up to two parts, focusing on new grounds to bring its new EV to prove itself on actual setups.

The first part of the testing program is to run it on a state-of-the-art" facility called Autodrome de Miramas which brings a closed environment of more than 60 km and 20 test tracks within the place.

The second part focused on taking on the streets where its clients would drive the EV, taking the Spectre to countryside roads and different locations worldwide to drive its streets or highways.

Rolls-Royce Spectre: What to Expect on the New Vehicle

Rolls-Royce said that the vehicle is all about luxury and reliability that will bring the spirit of the company in a new experience, different from its past releases. However, despite being a new breed of car, particularly with clean energy, it still can surpass those of its current lineup as it focuses on providing the experience with the new car.

Rolls-Royce and its Clean Energy Ventures

The British luxury car maker committed itself to build a clean energy future and that it would change its entire lineup to new power sources and forego its original internal combustion engines.

It will join other car manufacturers in their promise of clean energy cars by 2030, and Rolls-Royce will no longer produce gas-powered vehicles by then.

The company has several electric-powered ventures already and it started with its initial announcement of an electric airplane that would use batteries to power its propellers, instead of the traditional jet fuel. The latest news there is for Rolls-Royce's new electric airplane already achieved 15 minutes of flight tests for its initial runs.

Rolls-Royce is committing itself to a brighter future, one that would have clean energy instead of the traditional ones that need to burn fuel to get the car going.

The Spectre is one promising electric vehicle and it aims to encapsulate the spirit of Rolls-Royce as a luxury car brand that brings all the fine things in life but is guilt-free with its electric motors.
