The Apple Card was launched way back in 2019. However, this credit card service of the giant iPhone maker is still exclusive in the United States.

This financial was primarily designed to work with Apple Pay, the official mobile payment service of Apple Incorporated, on different devices, such as iPad, iPhone, Mac, as well as Apple Watches. 

The Apple Card officially expanded to all U.S.-based customers on August 20, 2019, thanks to the tech giant manufacturer's partnership with Goldman Sachs. 

However, three years after its launch, the credit card service of Apple is still not available in other countries outside the United States.

According to MacRumors' latest report, Apple CEO Tim Cook recently stated that the credit card service of the iPhone developer would soon expand to countries outside the U.S.

However, as of press time, this remains a promise as the Apple Card continues to be U.S.-exclusive. 

Although Cook hasn't directly explained why they can't expand this financial tool, he said that banks and regulations are quite different in other countries. 

This hints that the Apple Card is only able to follow the financial policies in the United States. However, it is still evident that the tech giant manufacturer is making efforts to expand its credit card. 

In 2021, a tech giant manufacturer was able to get the approval of the Canadian government, allowing it to expand the Apple Card in the country. 

Benefits of Having An Apple Card 

On its official Apple Card website, the tech giant maker claimed that its credit card service could offer a lot of things that other bank cards can't achieve. 

"Whether you buy things with Apple Pay or with the laser‑etched titanium card, Apple Card can do lots of things no other credit card can do," said Apple. 

Among the benefits it offers is the 2% cash back on every purchase made using the Apple Card via iPhone or Apple Watch.

In December 2021, the Apple Card promotion allowed consumers to get up to 5% cashback. 

In October 2021, a similar offer was made, allowing consumers to have a 6% Apple Card cash return
