Grand Theft Auto has a reputation among parents and the older generation for being a corrupting influence on the youth of America.

They seem appalled and confused that players can gun down innocent strangers, jack cars and hire prostitutes in a video game. Why would anybody want to do that?

Until they start playing the game themselves, that is. Then they understand. That is exactly what we have here in the latest Elders React video from YouTube Channel TheFineBros. Here we see a group of unfamiliar elders playing Grand Theft Auto V for the first time.

The results are fantastic. Almost every person in the video is aware of GTA's reputation. While at first they almost all struggle with the controls, they soon get the hang of it as they enter their first car and begin to cruise around Los Santos.

It's a fascinating study. Several of the players obey traffic laws just as they would in the real world, stopping at stop signs and traffic lights in order to avoid causing a wreck. It is once the elders let loose that the real fun begins. They equip knives and semi-automatic firearms and begin to murder random people walking down the street, giggling all the while. One man slashes a woman with a knife, busting into laughter soon after and exclaiming "I hit a woman for the first time in my life, and I'm having fun!"

Soon the cops start to appear and quickly proceed to gun down the elders as they struggle with the game's controls. But it was fun while it lasted!

As one woman puts it at the end of the video, "It's very fun to do naughty things." Yes. Yes it is.
