Adventure 1 Features

The Adventure 1 is set to be launched this month, and with that, the company has begun teasing some design features. It sits atop a dual-motor, all-electric off-road platform. The electric RV is only 64" wide, which can access and safely navigate trail networks with luxury and comfort in mind.

According to Electrek, The design has been integrated with a full-sized bed, a kitchen that slides out, a built-in roof rack, and steps on the side. Additionally, it has enough dry storage to hold two motorcycles.

According to the company, Adventure 1 will be legal on the road in states where UTVs and Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) can be licensed on non-highway roads. The Adventure 1 can also be flat-towed as a camper for road trips and brought directly to trailheads with a full battery to explore with.

The RV's control system can scan the trail ahead through the curated sensor suite that can proactively adapt torque and suspension to ensure a smooth ride. It promises that the RV will be agile through off-road terrain.

A prototype of the Adventure 1 will make its public debut at Overland Expo East in Arrington, Virginia, from October 7 to 9. The production is set to begin in 2024, which will be followed by deliveries in 2025. Potential Motors will start taking pre-orders later this month.

If you plan to order, it's best you do it quickly as the company only plans to build a maximum of a couple of hundred units of the Adventure 1 when production begins. They are also exploring other models in the future.

The Future of Electric RVs

This electric motorhome is set to bring something unique to the industry. Instead of just building a camper on an existing 4x4 chassis with a battery pack, Potential Motors is developing an electric off-road vehicle that can travel thousands of miles through a variety of terrains with ease.

This is definitely the type of vehicle that we'd expect to see from the 2020s. With the advent of electric vehicles, off-road vehicles are also on the rise. The market for such vehicles is expected to increase over the next decade due to higher demand for SUVs and crossovers.  The Adventure One could also pave the way for more EVs in the off-road class.
