The problems began on Sept. 21. However, experts clarified that Google services are not suffering from any outage since Malwarebytes users were the only ones experiencing problems.

On the other hand, Malwarebytes also confirmed that the issues were on their end.

"We are aware of a temporary issue with the web filtering component of our product that may be blocking certain domains, including https://google.com," said the American internet security company via its official Twitter post.

Thanks to the efforts of Malwarebytes, the issue on their web filtering component-which blocks certain domains-has been fixed.

If you are still experiencing issues on Google Chrome and other Google-owned services and websites, just follow these steps:

  1. Open Malwarebytes for Windows.
  2. Click the Settings button to the right. Then select the About tab to view the Version Information.
  3. Click Check for updates to search for the latest Malwarebytes updates.
  4. Malwarebytes for Windows will check for any protection database updates. This process may take a few moments.
