Apple Music will replace Pepsi which has been a lead sponsor of the Superbowl halftime show for the past 10 years.

The National Football League has officially named Apple Music its presenter for the famous halftime show. Before the Cupertino firm takes charge of this assignment, Pepsi has previously stepped up on its task as a sponsor.

At that time, the NFL expressed its desire to look for a "bigger" platform that would take over soon. This has opened doors to other companies willing to be program sponsors of the biggest sports league in the US.

According to the Holywood Reporter, Apple Music is expected to participate in its first-ever Super Bowl halftime show next year in Arizona.

As of writing, the NFL has not yet announced the performers in the show. However, the iPhone maker says that it will give updates regarding it prior to February 12, 2023.

"We are proud to welcome Apple Music to the NFL family as our new partner for the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show," NFL's senior VP of Partner Strategy Nana-Yaw Asamoah said.

He added that the league has never thought of collaborating with Apple Music to present the "world's most-watched musical performance" for the annual pop-culture show.

The NFL's partnership with the music streaming platform involves a multi-year deal. The previous halftime show recorded more than 120 million viewers, according to the football league.
