A certain user for the Apple Watch Ultra has decided to modify the casing by making it a little more classy in order to "deuglify" the design. The modification included removing the Action Button's orange color in order to make it more appealing in terms of visuals.

Apple Watch Ultra Raised Criticism Regarding How It Looks

According to the story by Mac Rumors, the newer Apple Watch Ultra was launched in a completely different design compared to the original Apple Watch which launched in 2014. As with most products, the design was met with both positive and negative reviews.

There were reportedly a number of people that praised the product while others have shared their criticism when it comes to the size of the device as well as how it actually looks. A thread on the MacRumors forums shows a user sharing their thoughts regarding the design.

User Shared Their Sentiments When It Came to the Apple Watch Ultra

An account called perezr10 shared their sentiments when it came to the design of the Apple Watch Ultra. As for the user, at first, they think that there is nothing wrong when it comes to the design and how the Ultra looks especially for its intended market.

The user said that rugged sports watches should have that design and that most of them already do. It was then specified that the reason why they disliked the ultra was because of practical reasons.

Perezr10 Said They Would Not Wear the Ultra When They are Dressed Up

It was also shared that the user previously wore a Garmin sports watch when they were running but would never wear that watch to work or when they are out on a date. The user then reasoned that they do not think that they would want to wear the Ultra when they are all dressed up.

The user then shared the five things they hated about the design when they contemplate whether they should wear it as an everyday watch. These reasons include the tallness of the crown guard, multiple holes located in different places, the orange button, and a finish that was described as looking "like Starlight aluminum."

User was Able to Remove the Orange from Their Smartwatch with the Help for the Dremel Power Tool

The user then noted that although there was nothing that could be done with the first three problems. The last two problems were actually solvable as per the user.

A picture was then shown of what the finished product looked like after they used a Dremel power tool in order to remove the high-contrast orange layer. Once the orange color was removed, the watch looked more natural without popping out too much.

The user then shared how they liked their Apple Watch Ultra more after making this particular change to the color.
