The giant software firm announced its plan to acquire the game developer on Jan. 18. 

Of course, many fans were excited. But, enthusiasts who know the effects of this deal shared their concerns. 

PlayStation is allegedly trying to prevent the billion-dollar deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. 

Rumors even claimed that the console maker plans to meet EU regulators to prevent it from happening.

According to Gaming Bible UK's latest report, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan allegedly wants to meet EU regulators.

Rumors claimed that his alleged meeting aimed to encourage European Union officials in Brussels to scrutinize the upcoming Activision Blizzard acquisition of Microsoft. 

Of course, this will remain speculation until Ryan completes the rumored meeting.

But, the CEO already shared his concerns regarding the billion-dollar deal between Microsoft and Blizzard. 

"We want to guarantee PlayStation gamers continue to have the highest quality Call of Duty experience, and Microsoft's proposal undermines this principle," said Jim.

Microsoft Defends Its Acquisition 

Since many enthusiasts and companies are criticizing Microsoft's ongoing Activision Blizzard Acquisition, the software giant also makes efforts to defend this deal. 

Windows Central recently reported that Microsoft dedicated a section of its official website to explain why the billion-dollar deal benefits developers, the gaming industry, and gamers. 

Microsoft said that one of the acquiring Activision Blizzard would offer better revenue, as well as fair marketplace rules, and greater flexibility in payment systems. 

Aside from this, the giant tech manufacturer also promised that once Blizzard is acquired, gamers will benefit through more games on PlayStation, smartphones, and online.
