The famed humanoid robot, Ai-Da, reached greater heights as she was able to address the United Kingdom's House of Lords in a parliamentary meeting of the Communications and Digital Committee. The robot talked about AI, both as a "threat and opportunity" in the art industry present now, as she is an artist, known for her work on the late Queen Elizabeth II.

However, it was not such a smooth performance for the robot as she experienced a glitch and shutdown mid-speech, where her creator, Aidan Miller, has to reboot her.

Ai-Da is the world's first ultra-humanistic robotic artist present in the world, with many pieces and works that back up her credentials to regard her as an expert, especially for a House of Lords meeting. She is fit to represent the robot and AI-kind to the Communications and Digital Committee, especially as their topic is AI art.

According to Reuters, the robot was given a chance to present her views and opinions regarding AI art in the present, a growing trend from developers that feature the self-learning tech for generating art pieces.

However, there has been a glitch in her systems where she seemingly fell asleep as she was delivering her sentiments, but was immediately sorted out by Miller.

Ai-Da Thinks AI is a 'Threat and Opportunity'

The humanoid robotic artist's testament is about her views on AI creating art, with the robot claiming that it is both a "threat and opportunity" to the industry and many artists in the present. Moreover, according to Politics Home, Ai-Da claimed that her art is different from humans which have consciousness, and these have subjective references to their experiences in life.

Robots and AI in the World

If a robot can be appointed as a CEO for a Chinese company known as NetDragon Websoft in Hong Kong, why should it not be able to address a parliamentary?

Yes, that is right, robots did both of these already, and future creations would be looking for something new to beat or achieve for their function in the coming time, with more roles to fill. Developments and creations are getting more advanced as we speak, and the robotic future powered by AI and technology would soon be a reality for all.

Another humanoid robot named Erica is also a famous one, particularly as it was taught to laugh at jokes it finds funny using artificial intelligence to get the sense of humor to recognize the antics. And this is a testament to robotic advancements in the present, with more functions and features soon available to their existence.

While robots do not have consciousness, as what Ai-Da said in the parliamentary meeting, they have awareness using their AI, where they can respond and react to their environment autonomously. Ai-Da's testament to the House of Lords brings a unique point-of-view of an AI-powered robot on AI art, especially as it is a field that is growing now.
