Netflix is debuting a new feature for all, and it is with the "Profile Transfer" that will allow users to bring their data and information to others' accounts. It aims to help in bringing one's suggested content and "Continue Watching" to a different account without needing to log in to another device, something which Netflix disapproves of in the present. 

It is a way to watch Netflix on other devices without necessarily transferring or logging in to another device, a way to thwart password sharing for the streaming platform.

Netflix Debuts 'Profile Transfer' for Different Accounts

Netflix wants you to migrate your profile to your account, and the Profile Transfer feature will help in this move to save all your recommendations, lists, favorites, and ongoing watchlist. 

According to Netflix's press release, users may save their data and transport them to another account which they will pay for, and the company will allow them to continue with their experience. 

It promotes the creation of one's account via the company and the user paying for their subscription and not freeloading or paying for only one account. 

Despite the initiative by the company, it still is a campaign to promote a user having their account on Netflix and separating them from their previous engagements.

Password Sharing on Netflix is Still a No

Variety first shared the information online, with the report saying that this is Netflix's way to abolish the password-sharing tactics from users who share the streaming platform's account. It is also a way for the company to get more subscriptions from individuals who use Netflix and stream series or shows available for all. 

Netflix and its Features

The once top streaming platform for years lost its spot to competitors like Apple TV+, Disney+, and others rivals in the industry, with Netflix struggling to get back on top in the present time. This is the first time that Netflix lost subscribers after maintaining its numbers for many years, and it is bringing new features for all to get them back to the platform. 

One of the company's plans was with its new cheaper subscription rates which will bring ads to one's viewing experience but is only requiring the public to pay $7 for the month.

Netflix is still famous for its Original Content, something which it produces or films with its international team to deliver quality offers for all. Reports said that Netflix will still allow uninterrupted streaming for its original shows and movies, despite the public's subscription to the ad-supported tier, something which will boost more of its content. 

The new Profile Transfer aims to allow users to jump from one account to the other, without necessarily sharing their password for other devices, thus being safe from its policies. However, it will center on its Password Sharing hunt, promoting a user to create their accounts and pay for the subscription separately from their original accounts.
