Apple will not release any new Mac models until the year 2023, according to recent sources. However, the revised M2 versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro are currently expected to arrive within the first quarter.
Leaks on Mac Launches
As reported initially by AppleInsider on Saturday, Oct. 29, statements from Apple's leadership in its quarterly results cast doubt on expectations for the third wave of autumn releases from the tech giant.
Follow-up rumors were published on Sunday, October 30, suggesting that Apple has already decided to postpone the debut of any more Mac computers in 2022.
On the morning of the same day, a leaker who goes by the name "Yeux1122" posted on the Naver website that vendor sources had informed him that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro model releases were postponed. These had been anticipated for delivery at the end of November.
The source of the leak indicates that there have been changes in the timetables of the supply chain that are shifting based on releases early next year. It is now expected that the new models will be made available sometime in the month of March 2023.

Claims from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman
Mark Gurman is a writer for the "Power On" newsletter published by Bloomberg.
He backtracked some of the statements he has made in recent weeks regarding the debut of new M2 MacBook Pro models in November. Now, he asserted that Apple informed him the company would launch these updated versions within the first three months of the calendar year 2023.
Instead of attempting yet another upgrade before the holidays, Apple is said to be planning to release new Macs in a few months, along with the release of macOS Ventura 13.3 in early February or the beginning of March.
Based on the observations of AppleInsider, Gurman said at the end of September that he anticipated new Macs would come in 2022. On Oct. 15, he continued to drive the narrative that a Mac launch in November was possible since the models were on track to debut soon.
Then, in the email he sent out on Oct. 23, he maintained his conviction that a new Mac may be released in November.
As evidence for the delays, he cited the statements about the company's financial results on Saturday. Specifically, he pointed to the fact that CEO Tim Cook mentioned a set product portfolio and that CFO Luca Maestri acknowledged a drop in projections for the growth of Mac sales.
Rumored Specs About the Upcoming Macs
It is expected that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will be updated with M2 CPUs when the releases finally happen. A new Mac mini, which has been speculated about for a long time, will likely have an M2 processor and a complete redesign.
According to AppleInsider, Gurman said that the firm had intensified its internal testing, including the M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs.
The M2 Max will reportedly include a bump from 10 to 12 CPU cores and a boost from 24 to 38 GPU cores.
