Tesla Optimus Leg Actuator Lifts Entire Piano! Here's How Powerful This Robot Is

Its strength was demonstrated by the giant EV maker via its official YouTube channel.

The automaker published the demonstration on Oct. 28.

As of writing, the official YT video has already generated more than 8,000 likes and 230,000 views in just two days.

For those who haven't watched it yet, Tesla didn't use the actual humanoid bot.

Instead, the automaker used the machine's so-called actuator to lift an entire piano.

Because of this, guests and online viewers didn't have any idea how powerful the machine was.

But, thanks to the latest video demonstration, Tesla consumers will now know the strength of this humanoid machine.

Tesla said that the Optimus bot is equipped with 28 structural actuators. However, the automaker didn't have to use all these actuators to show how strong the robot was.

Instead, Tesla used only one actuator in the video demonstration.

"Tesla Optimus Leg Actuator Lifts Entire Piano!" said the EV developer via its official YouTube post.

How Strong is Tesla Optimus?

The piano that Tesla Optimus' actuator lifted is a concert grand piano. This means that the machine can actually carry 500 kg (or half a ton).

If you don't know what an actuator is, this device is a machine component that converts energy and signals into motion.

The motion it produces can either be rotary or linear. In Tesla's YouTube video, you can see that the actuator is acting like a pulley.

It has a rope tied to the piano via three strong harnesses, allowing it to carry the musical instrument several times.

To make the demonstration more exciting, Tesla Principal Motor Designer Konstantinos Laskaris was even there playing the piano.
