Apple App Store Awards 2022 iPhone Game of the Year is ‘Apex Legends Mobile’

Apple App Store Awards names its iPhone Game of the Year, and it is none other than the battle royale gaming title, the "Apex Legends Mobile."

Other winnings apps and games include "Moncage," Inscyption," and the new social media in town, "BeReal."

Apple App Store Awards 2022 Names iPhone Game of the Year

As per the latest report by Venture Beat, the renowned tech giant has finally introduced the winning apps and games for this year's App Store Awards.

Trampling other iPhone games is the hit battle royale of Respawn, "Apex Legends Mobile." The awards also named other winning games, including the iPad Game of the Year and the Mac Game of the Year.

Winning Games at App Store Awards 2022

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apple, Tim Cook, said that "this year's App Store Award winners reimagined our experiences with apps that delivered fresh, thoughtful, and genuine perspectives."

The big boss of the iPhone maker notes that winning apps includes offerings "from self-taught solo creators to international teams spanning the globe."

Cook notes that these folks "are making a meaningful impact and represent the ways in which apps and games influence our communities and lives."

While "Apex Legends Mobile" has been named iPhone Game of the Year, the top iPad game for 2022 is "Moncage."

Venture Beat notes that the iPad Game of the Year is a puzzle game that requires its users to view things from a new perspective.

Meanwhile, the tech behemoth awarded "Inscryption" from Devolver as the Mac Game of the Year, whereas "El Hijo" from Handy Games received the Apple TV Game of the Year award.

What's more, "Wylde Flowers," developed by Studio Drydock, won the Apple Arcade Game of the Year. The League of Legends Esports Manager reigns as the China Game of the Year for 2022.

BeReal Wins iPhone App of the Year

The social media app that took the world by storm, BeReal, also graced the winning apps of the 2022 App Store Awards.

BeReal, which quickly gained popularity in various parts of the world, won as the iPhone App of the Year, according to a report by Screen Rant.

Apple also named its iPad App of the Year, GoodNotes 5, which is one of the widely-used productivity apps these days. The winning Mac and Apple TV apps are MacFamilyThree 10 and ViX.
