Good news for all Twitter users: it is not taking leave on the App Store, as per the previous speculations that it will be seeing a ban on the iOS platform due to its disagreement with Apple's fees for payment, centering on the blue checkmark verification. Elon Musk confirmed this earlier today, claiming that he talked with Tim Cook regarding this, at Apple's Cupertino headquarters.

Musk clarified that Apple never considered banning Twitter on the App Store regarding its third-party payment options for the company's new subscription policy.

Twitter's CEO said that he had a "good conversation" with Apple's CEO and leader, Tim Cook, where the pair talked about the growing issue regarding the social media's ban on the Apple App Store for its proposed third-party payment channels. Elon Musk said that it was only a misunderstanding on Twitter and Apple's part, something which the pair already resolved.

Musk further added that Tim Cook claimed that he or the company did not consider Twitter's removal from the App Store, opposing initial reports claiming that Apple is on its way to doing so due to the new policy.

Twitter and Elon Musk: Alleged Apple Ban

Twitter and Elon Musk allegedly faced some threats from Apple regarding its new policies on the social media platform for its plans to uphold a third-party payment system for its verification subscription. The CEO previously said that Apple "threatened to withhold" Twitter from the Apple App Store for this decision, citing other complaints against the Cupertino company.

Musk went as far as to quote previous tweets against Apple, one of which centers on Epic Games' attack against Apple with the "Nineteen-Eighty Fortnite."

Another bold statement from the tech CEO centers on his plans to create a smartphone dedicated to running Twitter if companies remove the short word social media platform from their App Stores. For a short time, there were a lot of controversies over Twitter's blue verification checkmark, with initial fears regarding the platform's ban.

Now, there is no need to worry, as leaders of both Apple and Twitter have clarified this issue already, with both executives talking it over at the Cupertino headquarters of the company. As per Chief Twit, there was no plan to remove Twitter from the App Store despite his strong words against Apple, as well as resurfacing some attacks regarding it.
