Apple is joining World AIDS Day by launching its PRODUCT RED products in its stores worldwide.

In partnership with RED, the Cupertino tech titan now promotes all the related products. The company assures that half portion of the proceeds will go to the Global Fund of RED. The announcement was traced back to earlier this year.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple has partnered with RED since 2006. So far, the iPhone maker has managed to raise over $270 million for RED. The organization is known for spreading awareness about AIDS to people in Africa's sub-Saharan region.

Aside from informing the citizens about AIDS, it also extends awareness about COVID-19 in far-flung areas in the country.

Apple guarantees that launching the PRODUCT (RED) colorways to its products will spread the visibility of World AIDS day to the public.

Some of the devices and accessories which have RED colorways include Apple Watch Series 8, iPhone 14, iPhone cases, and Apple Watch bands.

How to Show Support For World AIDS Day

To join this global fundraising for AIDS awareness program, you can customize seven (7) configurations for the watch faces. By visiting the official website of Apple, you can freely tweak the PRODUCT RED watch bands to your favorite tones.

The available RED watch faces include the following:

  • Typograph
  • Gradient
  • Numerals Mono
  • Stripes
  • Color
  • World Time
  • Metropolitan

Furthermore, you can also help in raising money for the Global Fund through several ways, as Apple Insider wrote in its report.

The first one is through Preppy promotion in the Apple Store, which is important in tracking pre-exposure prophylaxis. Users can check the app so they would be guided during PrEP checkups and intake. They could also see additional details on the calendar, which they could use to evaluate the test results.

Another thing to do is by reading the Apple Books about AIDS. The mixed collection of fiction and non-fiction reading materials is available online. They will shed some light on fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

If you're not a fan of reading, you can check Apple TV's Watch Now Tab, which has a variety of shows about AIDS. You can explore Apple Music, as well as listen to a myriad of audiobooks and podcasts about HIV infection.

Getting knowledgeable about this severe condition is important, especially since some people are deprived of knowledge on how to avoid and combat it.

Will AIDS Stop at One Point in Time?

Previously, there were no known ways to cure AIDs among patients. However, scientists do not stop developing HIV vaccines that can potentially end the epidemic.

Six years ago, we could recall that the United Nations (UN) said that by 2030, the AIDS epidemic would be put to an end. To support this matter, the organization allocated $100 million to the Key Populations Investment Fund.
