According to Google's blog post, a new update for Chrome brings new tools that will help users experience the app, especially with the current offers centering on performance upgrades. These two tools are the "Memory Saver" and "Energy Saver" modes, and it is rolling out for different platforms, including Windows OS, macOS, and ChromeOS.

Chrome's Memory Saver feature claims that it will only use up to 40 percent of the process intended for the browser and 10 GB less memory than before. When enabled, it will free up the memory usage of unopened tabs and load them in time for use.

On the other hand, the Energy Saver will help save on Chrome's consumption battery to help reduce power consumption when it is not plugged in. According to CNET, when running low on battery or when it notices users only have 20 percent remaining, this feature would automatically turn on for users.
