Zapata is going the extra mile for its recently launched Jetracer, as the company aims to branch out to the United States in the following year to deliver a flying car to the country. The goal is to make its latest VTOL machine available in the country, making this experience accessible to more users in the West for the future of air travel.

By 2023, people may have the chance to fly around the skies of different cities instead of waiting in their seats when encountering heavy traffic on roads.

According to CNET's report, Zapata is now gunning for 2023 to deliver its JetRacer flying car to the United States, to give people a chance to test the vehicle firsthand.

It has long-term goals to open flight centers in the country, one of which would offer rentals to interested users to use its JetRacers. The company wants to make this new mode of transportation accessible and available for the public to use for mass transit.

Moreover, it aims to bring its vehicles available for the public to rent out like they would recreational vehicles like jet skis and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

The company also revealed its plans to deliver its successor, the "Air Scooter," which will feature both its hybrid electric motor and internal combustion engine for longer flight times.

The Zapata JetRacer is a VTOL machine from the French manufacturer and its engineers, and its main feature is offering a chance for people to use a flying car with ease and fewer worries. It boasts of an easy-to-control vehicle that remains stable in different weather conditions, as well as continues its flight despite losing two of its ten jet engines.

It features a max speed of 125 to 155 miles per hour, and a max altitude of 9,800 feet.

Flying Cars and eVTOLs

Many companies are aiming to offer their flying cars to the world, and their goal is to renew modes of transportation that are limited to on-road use only for public access. It is important to note that air travel mainly focuses on the likes of economical, commercial modes, or expensive, private charters for planes.

While roads are seeing congestion now, the proposal here is to focus on air travel using flying cars, using the feature called "VTOL" or vertical takeoff and landing.

Zapata is one to debut this, with the French company offering the likes of its JetRacer for people in the United States to test and experience.

Another known company is SkyFly, offering an eVTOL for all to pre-purchase now, for its soon delivery featuring the "Axe," a luxurious flying car for two.

There are multiple companies now who want to debut their flying cars for all, offering a new mode of transportation that will take them to the skies and grounds without the need for runways. Zapata aims to branch out in the United States by next year, offering more of its technology to those ready for the flying car experience.
