There is a new social media platform that is the talk of the town now, and its main concept is birds, with a lot comparing it to the famous company and app, Twitter. This new app is called Birda, and at first, it indeed sounds like a new Twitter alternative, especially with its main theme centering around birds like the platform from Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone.

However, that is not entirely the case, and Birda is a unique platform for a specific niche, centering on a different kind of activity for online users.

Birda: What is It, and Is It a Twitter Alternative?

Birda is the up-and-coming social media platform that encourages people to connect and use it as a new hobby that would get them out of their homes to explore the different states or regions to spot birds.

Yes, that is right, Birda is a bird-watching social media platform that allows people to pin locations and identify different species of these feathered creatures for the online world.

It has the potential to be a Twitter alternative but is not exactly one to compete with the platform for the latest news, scoops, and random information online.

With Birda, users are given the chance to engage in a new outdoor experience and go to different locations with spottings of different animals from the Aves kingdom.

Should You Try and Use Birda?

And while people set up profiles, record their spottings, share images of creatures they found, and build networks on Birda, it is not exactly a Twitter alternative, but a platform of its own for a niche hobby.

For people wanting to try a new hobby and wants to focus on going outdoors, Birda is a feature-rich app to use and experience for a novel way to engage.

Birda is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

Twitter and its Alternatives

Twitter may have been a controversial social media platform for the past months now, but it is not the hippest in town thanks to people disagreeing with its current CEO, Elon Musk. With that, people have looked into several alternatives to use for their online media consumption with different platforms and apps to make up for this experience.

One of the most famous is Mastodon, and certainly, it is where people went when they decided to leave Twitter in the past few months as it features a microblogging feature like the famous Big Tech.

During this time, a platform made a return in popularity when Twitter got its new owner and CEO, with Tumblr rising to the occasion to provide the public with a place that will accommodate their needs for social media.

There is a new app that signifies the bird and what it represents online, but this new application is not exactly a Twitter competitor for what it stands for, which is taking photos or videos of birds. It also provides a platform for peers and acquaintances the locations of spotting species of different birds, a new hub to connect with others for the same interests for these creatures.
