Verge unveils its new and improved TS motorcycle, which is now available for pre-order.

Electric vehicle company Verge previously debuted their TS motorcycle back in 2019, according to Cycle World. The Verge TS is among the most innovative new electric bikes to hit the market and was originally only accessible in Europe.

However, now with its improved model, the Verge TS Ultra, the company is taking orders in the US after debuting at CES 2023.

"We are currently working on entering the US market in select states and hope to start sales and deliveries in 2023. We see a lot of potential in the market, and the wait of bike enthusiasts will soon be rewarded with even more powerful and futuristic electric motorcycles." According to Verge CEO Tuomo Lehtimäki.

Based on its teaser reveal, the motorcycle features a cutting-edge and striking hub-mounted electric motor like its previous Verge TS models in the line. However, this model's specs are turned up to the max with unheard-of amounts of torque, and here is what we know so far.

Verge TS Ultra Electric Motorcycle Aesthetics and Features

According to Electrek, in terms of the new motorcycle's aesthetics, the new and improved bike still uses a hubless rear wheel motor for its drivetrain. Additionally, a copper core and magnet ring of the motor are placed in the wheel's rim.

With a more angular and aggressive front headlight surround and a new seat hump to assist you in holding on when you call on the electric motor, the TS Ultra also has updated aesthetics compared to the existing models.

Despite its challenging design, the improved bike still benefits from more than simply good looks. The torque is increased by spacing the motor so far from the wheel's axis of rotation. Its most impressive feature, however, would be its 25-minute fast-charging improvement.

As a result, the Verge TS Ultra boasts a peak torque of 1,200 Nm and a peak power of 150 kW (201 hp). In layman's terms, that means a whopping 885 foot-pounds of torque that can pull a stump. Although the bike's top speed is 200 km/h (124 mph), this is still much faster than anyone would need for use on public roads.

Verge TS Ultra Technical Specs Versus Original Model

According to Visor Down, the new bike is said to produce 201 horsepower at the rear wheel, which is an increase in power over the TS and TS Pro versions, which produce 107 and 136 horsepower, respectively. The new bike's manufacturers claim that it has a 275km or 170 miles range and a 25-minute recharge time when utilizing a fast-charging system, both of which are longer and faster than those of its smaller brothers.

With almost three years in between, here is a comparison of the new Verge TS Ultra's specs with its original Verge TS, according to Verge's official product listing.
