Acer's Swift X laptop family is getting an upgrade this year with the new Swift X 14.
Acer's lineup recently expanded to include the Swift X family, which provides a fantastic blend of performance and portability. They are fantastic tools for consumers who need a little bit more power for everyday tasks, casual gaming, and content making.
However, with the all-new Acer Swift X 14, which has new Intel processors and Nvidia GPUs power, Acer is advancing even further into 2023. The 2023 Swift X 14 was introduced by Acer at the start of the year at CES 2023 and will be available starting in April.
XDA-Developers reports that the upcoming Swift X 14 is an all-purpose, 14-inch laptop with a mid-range Nvidia RTX graphics chip and Intel Core H processor that has upgraded cooling to handle these specifications. Although it has an attractive OLED display and is an Nvidia Studio-certified design, it is a little thicker and heavier than its predecessors.
What's New With the Acer Swift X 14 Laptop?
With each new generation of Acer's product line, a spec increase is pretty much a given, and the Acer Swift X 14 is no exception. However, Acer has done more than simply switch to the newest Intel processors this time.
Ultrabookreview reports that the Acer Swift X 14 has 13th-generation Intel Core H-series CPUs compared to the 12th-generation P-series processors found in its predecessor. The H-series CPUs have a TDP of 45W as opposed to the P series' TDP of 28W, which means they consume more power but perform better.
You should gain a ton of power thanks to the significant performance enhancements brought by Nvidia's RTX 40 series laptop GPUs. Acer raised the battery performance by 29% to make up for the higher power usage, which should help you receive reliable battery life from this device.
Additionally, you can choose between an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU in addition to the new processors. However, the base model still comes with an RTX 3050 from the previous generation.
