Apple Music 'Replay 2023' is Now Out

As per a recent report by Mac Rumors, Apple has introduced its "Replay 2023" playlist, giving Apple Music subscribers a glimpse of their favorite songs, albums, and even artists, as early as now.

The new playlist option updates weekly, tallying your most played songs for the year. It works similarly to how the year-end "Replay" playlist works. However, this only provides a shorter time frame, as 2023 is just starting.

Mac Rumors notes in its report that the iPhone maker first introduced its "Replay" playlist back in 2019. And this 2023, the giant firm continues with its yearly tradition.

It is worth noting that while users could check out their top music all year round, Apple would still provide a year-end version before 2023 ends. Users simply have the option to check out the tally every week even before the year ends.

Apple Music Replay vs. Spotify Wrapped

Apple Music closely rivals Spotify, which offers a similar feature that goes by the name Spotify Wrapped. But what sets the "Replay" playlist apart, according to 9to5 Mac, is its year-round feature.

For "Wrapped," users will have to wait for the end of the year before they can check out their top songs and albums for the year.

On the other hand, the "Replay" is available for users to see as early as now. So they would no longer have to wait until the end of the year to merely check their most streamed music.

However, one of the downsides of the year-end availability of the "Replay" playlist is that the year-end tally would no longer come as a surprise. Unless you have opted to avoid checking it out before the year ends.

After all, the year-end recap essentially lets users look back on songs that made it through their year. It could help them reminisce about good memories or songs that have accompanied them during heartbreaks.

How to Check Your Most Played Songs, Albums, and Artists

9to5 Mac notes that the Apple Music "Replay 2023" playlists are now available via the web version of the streaming service.

However, do note that if you have been listening to a few songs at the start of the year, they might not be available just year. But once you listen to more music it should be up and running.

To check it out, head over to Apple Music web to add your "Replay 2023" playlist to your library. It should appear on your "Listen Now" tab.
