Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has yet to debut, but an early leak suggests it is getting an upgraded cover display, much larger than what the Oppo Find N2 Flip currently offers its users.
The South Korean phone maker is set to release the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip this year. And it might just offer its users a long-awaited upgrade.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Cover Display
As per a recent report by Sam Mobile, a new leak is suggesting that Samsung is looking to bring an upgraded cover display for the rumored Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Last year, the giant phone maker introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and much to the disappointment of some users, it still sported a pretty small cover screen.
Given that, the Chinese tech firm, Oppo, recently debuted its Z Flip 4 competitor, none other than the Find N2 Flip.
A well-known tipster, who goes by the name Ice Universe, says that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is potentially getting a bigger external screen or cover display.
The leaker further notes that the cover screen size of the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip is potentially bigger than the Find N2 Flip. And as such, it should automatically be larger than the Z Flip 4 as the Oppo foldable sports a bigger internal screen than the current Samsung offering.
Ice Universe notes that "the external screen of Galaxy Z Flip5 is bigger than the external screen of Oppo Find N2 Flip."
However, it is worth noting that the well-known tipster did not mention the dimensions of the rumored Samsung foldable phone.
But given that Ice Universe confirmed that it might be bigger than the cover display that the all-new Oppo Find N2 Flip offers, it gives us an idea of its potential dimensions.

Oppo Find N2 Flip vs. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Cover Display
Sam Mobile notes in a report that the Oppo Find N2 Flip sports 3.26 inches external display. So we could expect the cover screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 to be bigger than that. It remains to be seen what size Samsung is planning to pursue.

On the other hand, according to GSM Arena, the Super AMOLED cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is only 1.9 inches. So it is significantly smaller than what the new Oppo foldable offers. And with that, it looks like the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be getting a huge external screen upgrade once it rolls out this year.
