One of the most pristine conditions original iPhone, the first generation released in 2007, recently sold at an auction for a whopping price of $63,000 at LCG Auctions. The smartphone is valued at $599 on its first release only, and this antique sold for more than ten times its price since its release 16 years ago, back when Steve Jobs introduced it to the world.

There are no more iPhones of this sort available in the market now, which is one of the top reasons for its high-selling price.

Furthermore, it is preserved in its original condition, including the plastic seals which remained intact at the time it was sold.

Business Insider's report said that the original owner did not open the iPhone in 2007 because it was exclusive to AT&T, and left the box and seals unopened.

Now, it amounts to more than ten times its original amount and is a win for the previous owner.

Apple Memorabilia at Auctions

Apple's memorabilia are one of the most famous in auctions, as they are the ones touched by its departed creator and founder, Steve Jobs, which brought the company massive fame.

A previous auction that featured an original and sealed iPhone also sold for a whopping price of $35,000, less than twice the amount it sold today.

It also came alongside a sealed iPod, the original one that has the famed buttons for control also sealed and kept in a pristine condition, for as much as $25,000.

There was also a claimed "Steve Jobs original" development of the Apple-1 prototype, debuting the computer development of Apple, also known as the iMac's predecessor. This device sold for more than $700,000 at the auction.

There are many products over at Apple now that users may buy for retail prices, but previous devices, the ones which endured significant history and years on its belt are now up for bids for thousands of dollars in the auction market.

Buyers have plenty of reasons to purchase these antiquities, and whatever they are, it preserves the technologies in the past which made the world more advanced, like with this original iPhone from 2007.
