There is a Hidden Fatality that was revealed by one of "Mortal Kombat's" creators, Ed Boon, particularly found in the 2011-released game, "Mortal Kombat 9." The said fatality was previously rumored among the gaming community and fans of the franchise, but it went around the news even without the internet's wide presence yet.

Still, this is something that Boon and the "Mortal Kombat" developers have used in a previous game, making the rumor a reality for gamers, which showed that it listens to fans and enthusiasts of the series.

Ed Boon, the famed creator behind the "Mortal Kombat" series, confirmed that the famous Hidden Fatality in the 2011-launched title came from initial rumors, during the time of "Mortal Kombat 2." The team had no way to discern where it came from, but finally decided to adopt this to the game it launched in 2011, "Mortal Kombat 9."

This hidden Fatality was resurrected by @MK_habit_addict, from their recent tweeted video, showing the character Jax's finishing move. It is not Jax's usual Fatality, as this move uses the environment, a map where the trees are alive called "Living Forest," originally appearing in "Mortal Kombat II."

However, it was only until "Mortal Kombat 9" in 2011 that the Fatality appeared, with the victor tossing the loser to one of the trees and having the menacing creature devour the character.

'Mortal Kombat 9' and its Successful Launch in 2011

Mortal Kombat 9 takes this feature to a new level, with more than 30 unique fatalities for each character, each more gruesome than the last, making it a successful game to launch in 2011.

The game's story mode is also a standout feature, taking players through a retelling of the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games.

The game also introduces a new "X-Ray" move, which allows players to see the damage they are inflicting on their opponent's bones and internal organs.

The 'Mortal Kombat' Franchise

One of the most iconic features of the Mortal Kombat series is the "Fatality," which is a finishing move that allows players to brutally and creatively kill their opponents. The original game was released in 1992, initially under Midway Games, and it presented one of the best arcade fighting games in history, joining the "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" franchises.

Later games in the series featured more than Fatalities, also including "Brutality" for gamers to enjoy gruesome experiences, but less violent compared to the famed finishing moves.

The latest title in the series is "Mortal Kombat 11," with an expanded character roster, maps, and new fatalities to experience.

Looking back at the franchise's development, "Mortal Kombat 9" is an iconic addition to the Mortal Kombat series, with its signature fatalities, engaging story mode, and fast-paced gameplay. It remains a fan favorite among fighting game enthusiasts and is a must-play for anyone who enjoys a good beat 'em up.

Not only that, an iconic Hidden Fatality is something that gamers may enjoy, and knowing this information from Boon provides a great easter egg to watch out for.
