CAPCOM released the "Resident Evil 4" Remake earlier, and gamers' impression of the new game is massively loving the return of the classic game, now adapted for modern consoles and platforms. With this, gamers already noticed the different changes in this modern remake, including the new post-credits scene and the Merchant character in the title.

The remake of Resident Evil 4 is set to feature updated graphics and improved gameplay mechanics, while still retaining the core elements that made the original game so popular.

*WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD*

One major change, to the current remake release, is that the game's iconic villain, Albert Wesker, is now only appearing in a new post-credits scene that was not present in the original game.

Throughout the original "RE4," Wesker appeared in multiple parts of the game, talking to Ada Wong about her mission.

But in this remake, Wesker only appeared until the very end, when Ada successfully stole the amber and was flying off in a helicopter. The double agent, Ada, then forces the to turn the helicopter around, forcing the pilot to go back after Wesker revealed his plans to use the amber to kill billions.

This new scene may be a precursor to "Resident Evil 5's" remake soon, as it could drastically change the game as well. Still, there are no announcements yet from CAPCOM regarding this new game.

CAPCOM and the 'Resident Evil' Franchise

CAPCOM's "Resident Evil" franchise has been a staple of the survival horror genre in video games since its debut in 1996. The series has spanned multiple consoles, with its latest entry, "Resident Evil Village," previously released in 2021.

The franchise's popularity has spawned multiple adaptations, including live-action and animated films, comic books, and novels. It has also influenced the gaming industry as a whole, with its innovative gameplay mechanics, intricate storytelling, and immersive atmosphere.

Throughout its history, the "Resident Evil" franchise has seen various changes in its gameplay mechanics and storytelling. The original games were known for their fixed camera angles and tank controls, while the newer entries, such as "Resident Evil 7" and "Resident Evil 8," have shifted to a first-person perspective and focused on more personal stories.

Its new remake is a success, as it is a hit among gamers, both old and new ones, who are currently exploring the modern version of "RE4." There may be changes, including some canon revamps, but this centers on offering a new experience to gamers, bringing more to its story, and possibly hinting at its next remake.
