Microsoft is reportedly looking for some ways to modernize the Windows OS next year.

By rolling out advanced features for Windows 12, we are yet to see a new set of improvements that might entice users to test out this operating system in early trials.

From the looks of it, the Redmond giant is strategizing to include AI considering its popularity in usage this 2023.

Microsoft wants to launch a more modern Windows OS for users with the possible release of Windows 12 next year.

According to a report by XDA Developers, Microsoft once tried to modernize Windows 10 by launching Windows 10X. However, it did not translate well since in the end, the tech giant released Windows 11.

To create a new OS designed to cater to a more optimized experience among users, Microsoft might have to rely on a different approach dubbed "CorePC."

This way, the latest Windows OS can still thrive in older operating systems. This is important since not all devices are compatible with a specific Windows version.

The technique is taken oppositely from a Windows 10X book. This time, the company wants to rebuild the original OS from the start and focus only on important inclusions.

CorePC won't be featuring all the features that Microsoft finds to be underwhelming for Windows 12. Additionally, it will also emphasize the module design that will fit almost all devices.

With that being said, we could get a "silicon-optimized" Windows OS version from Microsoft. It's an upgrade that everyone won't expect especially since it tackles both the software and hardware aspects.

It could be similar to Apple Silicon devices which are seen to be effective for Mac devices. If Microsoft's plans turn out well with Windows 12, then this could be the revolutionary modernization that Microsoft expects to see in the future.

Faster Updates on Windows 12

Since Microsoft desires to bring a modern look to the upcoming Windows OS, we expect to see faster updates launching on the platform.

In doing so, users can enjoy having a "more consistent" experience in using the software. It's ideal especially since files are getting bigger each year, thus requirements tend to go higher than usual.

Heavy Reliance on AI For Windows 12

As Windows Central reports, Microsoft is preparing to introduce more AI-related features on Windows 12. With the arrival of the Bing AI chatbot, it's no wonder why the firm wants to add more aspects to the scene.

Bringing the AI features will allow users to maneuver Windows easier and more conveniently by any means. It suggests that doing a simple task like cropping a photo or editing a video will be twice as fast as usual thanks to AI prompts.
