Apple has already acknowledged the weather forecast app outage, admitting that services are down for some users.

From time to time, some Apple services, such as iCloud, Find My, and its official website, experience an outage. But this time, the Weather app faces a service issue with its forecast data.

As per a report by Mac Rumors, Apple has already confirmed that its Weather app has become pretty janky due to a service issue.

The System Status page of the tech giant disclosed the Weather app issues. It says that "some users are affected" by the "ongoing" outage.

Some Users Are Unable to Access Weather Forecasts

Some Apple Weather users report that they cannot see live weather forecasts on their devices, at least for some regions, according to Apple Insider.

In fact, iPhone users pointed out that intermittent issues with the forecasting platform began when they got their hands on the iOS 16.4 update.

The issue looks to be widespread across various devices. The problem affects the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS versions of the weather forecasting app.

Not to mention that folks from various parts of the world are experiencing an outage issue, wherein live weather forecasts are completely inaccessible.

Data Provider Outage

Apple Insider reports that the renowned tech behemoth blames a "data provider outage." And as such, some users cannot access live weather forecast data.

Interestingly, the iPhone maker specifically says that the outage ends up making the forecasts for Alaska unavailable. However, the tech news outlet notes that various regions are affected by the current outage, apart from the aforementioned US state.
