It’s all here. Iconic series, award-winning movies, fresh originals, family favorites, and the best entertainment for every mood.

Launching Max

After months of teasing its customers, Warner Bros. Discovery officially reveals 'Max' as the newest streaming service of the company. Reuters reported this will be launched on May 23, combining both steaming services of HBO Max and Discovery Plus.

This means in one platform, users can watch classic HBO series like "The Sopranos", "Succession", "Euphoria", and "Game of Thrones", together with Discovery Plus' "Dr. Pimple Popper" and "Fixer Upper'.

During the launch presentation held at the Warner Studio in Burbank, California, Chief Executive Officer David Zaslav stated, "This is our time, this is our chance. I feel like for our company, this is our rendezvous with destiny."

Max's ad-free tier will cost roughly $15.99 a month and Max Ultimate for $19.99 a month, the same prices as the monthly subscription to HBO Max. For the affordable option, the company also offers $9.99 per month for the ad-supported version.

Deadline reported that the $3 billion Warner Media-Discovery merged closed the deal more than a year now. 2022 was described by Zaslav as the year of coming together and a year of restructuring. But launching Max this year is the perfect timing for the company as it also happens to be the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros' founding.

With this, Zaslav stated that several new titles are coming to Max, including GOT sequel called "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight".

The company also promises a more revamped product experience with this expansion. TechCrunch reported that Max will offer an improved recommendations and better performance by addressing several key business objectives like user engagement, retention, more regular viewership, and more offerings.

Combining Content

As per Global Streaming & Games President JB Perrette, combining the streaming services aims to blend the content of both platforms in one single service in order for the company to stand out in the crowded industry. He stated, "In this era of peak confusion, we're trying to simplify and improve the experience for consumers."

The New York Times reported that Warner Bros is also aiming to reach its subscriber goal for its streaming division with 130 million subscribers by 2025. As of the moment, the company already garnered 96.1 million. By reaching this goal, the company would beat its competitors.

Netflix's current total count of subscribers is 231 million, while Disney has 235 million subscribers across its streaming services, including Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. Launching Max will make an edge to the company, given that they are projecting that it will break by next year and be profitable in two years.
