The latest development over the renowned European-based private space company, ArianeGroup, is the upcoming first flight of its Ariane 6 rocket that faces another delay for a supposed launch this year. Instead of a 2023 launch date, the latest reports center on an early 2024 outing for the space rocket, testing its capabilities and seeing its reach for the first time.

Space companies are seeing significant rivalry now, especially as more are joining the market and looking to debut their rockets, fighting alongside industry giants like SpaceX, Boeing, ULA, and more.

ArianeGroup: Europe's Ariane 6 Rocket is Launching by Early 2024

Space News' recent report confirms that ArianeGroup is looking to have its next-generation Ariane 6 rocket launch by 2024, skipping 2023's planned launches. The latest information on this rocket's spaceflight centers on key ArianeGroup suppliers who claimed that the company would not launch its rockets for its 2023 schedule.

Ariane 6 is the company's successor to the Ariane 5, also known for the many missions it carried out for Europe's space industry, alongside other partners in the industry.

Most notably, Interesting Engineering said that German aerospace company OHB predicted that the Ariane 6 would not launch this year, but for the early months of 2024.

Is the Ariane 6 Rocket Facing Another Delay on its Flight?

The latest development on the Ariane 6 is seeing another delay for its supposed test flight that would have it experience space in actual settings. The reason for ArianeGroup's delay remains unknown, as the company has not released any statements yet about this venture.

Still, it is worth keeping an eye out on Europe's famed rockets from the ArianeGroup, especially for the early months of 2024.

ArianeGroup's Space Ventures

The famed ArianeGroup is best known for being a joint venture from Airbus and the Safran Group in a bid to focus its space exploration for the European region, centering on the continent's efforts towards the cosmos. At one time, the European Space Agency expressed its goals to explore the Moon to search for oxygen and water, with ArianeGroup at its helm.

This said the project is set to launch by 2025, two years from now.

Back in 2022, ArianeGroup also introduced the world with its latest development called SUSIE, known as the Smart Upper Stage for Innovative Exploration, which is best known for its reusability. This was first introduced by the company last September, and they aim to bring a rocket that can carry out missions and be available for the next one, like SpaceX's rockets.

Still, the world is yet to see the first flight of its massive development known as the Ariane 6, which now faces a delay again for a supposed 2023 launch. As the successor to the famed Ariane 5, the new rocket would carry out future missions and give Europe another vessel that will bring them to various cosmic destinations.
