FTC Chair Claims AI Voice Cloners Supercharge Scams!
According to Mashable's latest report, Lina Khan discussed the dangers of AI voice cloners at an AI and venture capital event.

She said that officials should be proactive when it comes to preventing AI-powered malicious campaigns. During the discussion, the FTC chair explained that AI turbocharge scams are now appearing more frequently.
Scammers behind these malicious campaigns use artificial intelligence tools to copy the voices of family members in distressed situations.
"If anything, you need to be especially vigilant on the front end because it's much more difficult to solve these problems after," said Khan.
The FTC official further stated that enforcers at the state level or the national level-should act to prevent the problems caused by scams relying on AI voice cloners.
