In more than 20 years, he has managed to create several successful companies, which focus on selling spare parts for forestry equipment that have had a significant impact on the forest industry in general. Today Vyacheslav is busy developing a project to distribute a new brand of beer, kombucha, and other beverages in the United States of America.

We had a chance to talk with Vyacheslav Bandukov on how he got started in the forestry industry, his business management experience, trends in the labor market, and his upcoming projects.

Career Path: Education and the First Jobs

Vyacheslav did a study as an engineer of forestry and forestry. After graduating from the university in 1999, he immediately went to work in his specialty. He made a career from an ordinary employee to the director of an enterprise.

His track record includes the following positions: reforestation engineer, forest foreman, logging engineer, forest fund engineer, forest manager, and director.  All these experiences permitted  the young specialist to learn in practice all the complexities and problems of the forest industry, as well as to develop his own solutions. By trial and error, he identified the most effective methods and implemented them in his company.

Development of His Own Business

In 2004, Vyacheslav created a company, which used to sell spare parts for forestry equipment. A year later, the company started to provide a third-party field service not only for the sale of spare parts and consumables, but also for the repair of equipment directly on the logging areas directly in the forest. At that time it was an innovative solution and Vyacheslav's company became one of the first to offer a comprehensive solution to its clients.

This ensured stable growth and gave a boost to further development and possibility of reaching a new level. Vyacheslav created mobile workshops for repairing, maintaining, and diagnosing of fuel equipment, filtration systems, internal combustion engines, replacing and repairing of consumable equipment.

He was working actively on establishing cooperation with leading manufacturers.  As a result, he signed contracts with top European and American manufacturers of equipment and spare parts. In order to improve and speed up logistics processes, Vyacheslav created a subsidiary in Finland.

Also, the company has established cooperation with many well-known companies within the country itself. As a result, the company conducted contracts with the largest timber industry and logging holdings, such as: Ilim Group, UPM Kymmene, Stora Enso, International Paper, Segezha Group, and many other smaller and well-known companies.

In order to reach such a level, he had to put in a lot of effort. As Vyacheslav notes, the most important and most difficult thing is to establish trustful relationships with the team, employees, partners, investors, and clients. It is not enough just to hire an expert or train an employee to a high level, it is also necessary to ensure a comfortable level of work.

Trends in the US Labor Market

Having survived the crisis times of the pandemic and post-COVID circumstances, the US market has found itself in quite stable positions. However, there is enough space for development. Back in December 2022, Bloomberg economists said that the probability of a recession in 2023 is approximately 70%. The subsequent mass layoffs of employees from the IT sector during the winter and spring seasons of this year also stirred up the society.

Therefore, today, more than ever, it is essential to promote the opening of new businesses and attract strong, experienced entrepreneurs in order to give a new boost of energy to the economy and provide jobs for many people.

New Projects

Vyacheslav Bandukov devoted more than 20 years of his life to the development of several successful businesses. His example demonstrates that there is always a place in the niche for career growth, personal improvement, caring for employees and clients, as well as respecting natural resources.

The next step will ask for connecting the advertising and marketing departments, as well as the IT department. By managing full-fledged work, one cannot do without personnel, starting from storekeepers, loaders and drivers, and finishing with managers, advertising agents, accountants, logisticians, and IT specialists.
