X has done it again, and this time, it took the "@music" account handle on the platform from its original owner, after 16 years of owning the name. The user was only given a notice from X and now he is "Super pissed" about what happened, especially as he kept this domain in promoting music and garnered millions of followers before the rebrand.

Elon Musk is known for his massive hold on the "X" branding, but it was unknown that other accounts were also affected by the brand he aims to establish particularly the affiliated ones.

Jeremy Vaught is a director of engineering at the nonprofit called Life Happens, but he is also the original owner of the account handle @music since he registered it on the then Twitter platform. Now, he was given a notice by X regarding the company taking this account because it is affiliated with X Corp., via a message sent to him.

That being said, Vaught claimed that the account @music has been under his care and direction since 2007, and this remained untouched for as much as 16 years, even after Musk stepped in.

In this account, Vaught talked about anything under the topic of music, and here, he also centered on promotions regarding the industry, especially if it will be performed live in Second Life.

Elon Musk Takes What He Wants, User 'Super Pissed'

Despite his massive following and use of the account handle, X took it away from him, and he feels 'Super pissed' regarding what happened.

That being said, Elon Musk took what he want from the user but did not release any statements regarding this, leaving Vaught distraught about the incident. This is much like what happened with the original @x owner, Gene X Hwang, which had the username taken away from him earlier.

Elon Musk and the X Rebrand of Twitter

Back in late July, the X rebrand of Twitter took place, with Elon Musk, its owner, at the helm of the massive name and logo change for the famed social media platform. However, it is still essentially the same app but of a different name, with X claiming that brands still need to pay $1,000 for their verification checkmark to display.

Alongside the name change also comes with X's new default theme which will always be on Dark Mode, with Musk announcing this new look to the public via his post. The iconic white and blue colors of the previous Twitter platform are now gone, with X centering on the monochromatic themes of mainly black, with white as its accent.

The massive rebrand also centered on speculations regarding the @x handle which Gene X. Hwang originally owned but was later taken from him by the company. Now, X has targeted another account handle on the platform, @music, which they have massive plans of using as an affiliate account, taken away from Jeremy Vaught.
